The practical part

Getting here.

How do we reach the estate?

Fly to Lisbon or Faro — both are a touch over two hours by car. We will send driving notes that are better than the map, or arrange a driver who knows which bakery to stop at. There is a helipad in the west field that we pretend not to be proud of.

Is there a minimum stay?

Two nights, because one is a visit and this is not a place you visit. September asks for three; the light that month takes a day just to introduce itself.

What about the winter?

From December to March the house rests, the cellar is racked, and the family repairs whatever the year loosened. We take exactly one booking in that window: the whole estate, for people who want Portugal to themselves. Write to us.

Deposits and cancellations?

Half on booking, the rest a fortnight before you arrive. Plans change — cancel up to fourteen days out for a full return, or move your dates once with no ceremony at all.
